Pipped at the Post Handicap - SING US A SONG
ree

Going off here on the same mark that he was on when coming 9th last out at Royal Ascot. However, that 9th place looks worse than it was as at the start of the race when being far behind early on when starting slowly. Ended the race quite well considering all the trouble it has in the race, should be better here today if wiser out the gates and also less runners to cause traffic issues. A mark of 92 seems like it can easily be broken and more improvement isn't ruled out of the Wathnan owned, unexposed colt.

Molecomb Stakes - MILITARY CODE

Has a form record of 1102 with the 17th place coming over 6f and so can somewhat be forgiven for that attempt. Last time out he managed a decent 2nd behind STAYA who had 5lb in hand when up against MILITARY CODE, STAYA also went on to come 2nd last out in a group 3 and is now rated 99. Big threat comes in the form of LADY IMAN who has immense form but may be a bit of a shock back to 5f with a jockey that hasn't ridden the horse in a race before.

Sussex Stakes - FIELD OF GOLD

There aren't enough superlatives for this colt who has been nearly untouchable in his short career so far. This will be FIELD OF GOLDs 3rd jockey that has been onboard when Buick takes the reigns, however, that shouldn't stop the highest rated in the field from winning another big race for his resume.

ree

Takes on some classy horses here in the form of ROSALLION and HENRI MATISSE, the latter having won the breeders cup juvenile turf and is a multiple group 1 winner at this distance, he was behind FIELD OF GOLD last time when trainers of FIELD OF GOLD thought he was sent too early and so its hard to see him getting that close again. ROSALLION is a serious horse over the mile and is a new challenge for FIELD OF GOLD but I can't see it landing a blow and the Juddmonte owner FIELD OF GOLD should take another big prize home with him.

Fillies Conditions Stakes - ZELAINA

Had really good speed at Royal Ascot when expecting to land the spoils in the Queen Mary Stakes before having a small drift to 5/1 and came 8th, was not a bad run and this sharp 5f should suit. She is the quality in this race and has good form and with trainer Karl Burke saying he's trying to 'keep his feet on the ground' and not to get carried away about how special she is, gives all the more confidence that she can get over the line first in the race. All horses in this race are unexposed and so big improvements can be expected and that causes a small concern for a small priced fav such as ZELAINA but if she's on her top form this filly will be very hard to beat.
